Free Gas Card when Opening a New Online Checking Account with iGoBanking!

So is this what's it's come down to? With gas prices reaching new highs, iGo Banking has decided to offer a $50 Gas Card when opening an online checking account. You have to hurry though as the offer is limited to the first 400 applicants that use the online bill payer to pay three bills through their online checking account with iGo.

Let's put the promotion aside and dive into what this checking account has to offer. I'd like to begin with the fact that the iGo Banking name is a new brand in the banking arena. Rest assure they are FDIC insured. There's no information if there's needs to be a checking account minimum balance requirement to earn the 2.65% APY.

They do offer a MasterCard debit card along with access to ATMs that are part of the Allpoint network - meaning you're likely to get dinged with heavy ATM fees if you're not using an ATM within the Allpoint network.

With so many offers these days, I don't see this one as sticking out. Are you really going to go through the hassle of opening a new online checking account just to attempt to get a free $50 gas card?

Advice - Save your time and don't bother. There's plenty of other checking accounts online that offer much, much more.
