Open a Chase Checking Account and Earn $50.

Now that Chase has acquired Washington Mutual we should see some better checking account offers come through the pipeline. At the very least it should give more coverage to the ATM network potentially saving current customers from incurring ATM Fees.

Chase is now paying you $50 if you open a checking account and setup direct deposit. You can apply for the checking account here. You will not receive the $50 until the first direct deposit is made. After the first deposit is made, the $50 will be deposited in your account. The $50 dollars is a nice gift for new customers but I'm not sure if it's worth opening a new checking account over. Chase's current network of ATM's is fairly small and if you're not careful, you'll be quick to accumulate a good amount of charges in ATM fees.

The Basics.
